PU Prime Review: High Leverage, Cent Accounts and Copy Trading, or Just Marketing Hooks?
PU Prime stacks a $20 cent account, leverage up to 1:1000 and a PU Social copy trading app on top of ASIC and FSCA licences, while the FCA and Denmark's regulator have separately warned against its Seychelles entity. We weighed the real features against that warning.
Best for: Traders in Australia or South Africa who want the ASIC or FSCA entity and treat the cent account as a real practice tool
PU Prime's features hold up under testing: the $20 cent account genuinely lets a beginner risk single dollars per trade, PU Social works as described from a $25 allocation, and 1:1000 leverage is real before it steps down at $20,000 equity. What drags the score down is the entity most clients actually sign with. ASIC and FSCA licenses are genuine, but clients outside those two countries land with the Seychelles entity, the one the UK's FCA and Denmark's regulator have separately warned is not authorized to serve their residents. That warning does not prove wrongdoing, but it means less recourse than the marketing implies.

PU Prime began life as Pacific Union in 2015 and rebranded in the early 2020s, and the pitch since has been a stack of features aimed squarely at newer traders: a $20 cent account, leverage as high as 1:1000, and a copy trading app called PU Social. Every one of those hooks is real. Whether they add up to a broker worth trusting with a deposit depends on a regulatory detail buried well below the marketing, so we tested the features and then checked the entity that actually signs most clients up.
The cent account and the leverage tier both work as advertised
Cent accounts open from $20 and trade in 1,000-unit lots instead of the standard 100,000, so a trade that would risk $50 on a Standard account risks 50 cents on a Cent one. That is genuinely useful for a beginner who wants to trade real market prices without real-sized risk, and it functions exactly as described in our testing. Leverage tells a similar story with a catch attached: 1:1000 is available on eligible accounts, but it steps down automatically to 1:500 once an account's equity passes $20,000, a built-in guardrail that keeps a growing account from running at its most aggressive setting indefinitely.

Standard account spreads average 1.3 pips on EUR/USD with no commission, which is fine for a beginner but not the number a cost-focused trader should settle on long term. The ECN tier drops to 0.0 pips plus $1.50 per lot per side, a sharper number that only makes sense once a $10,000 minimum deposit is on the table.
PU Social makes copy trading genuinely accessible
PU Social is PU Prime's standalone copy trading app, and the entry cost is low by design: a follower can allocate as little as $25 to a chosen trader once the underlying account is funded with $50. The app works as a social feed as much as a trading tool, showing a signal provider's history and strategy notes alongside the option to follow them automatically.
